Battle for Folsom Ridge
June 30th 2019 (SUNDAY)
Durango Colorado
Situation:
Trukistan and Ironia are at peace. However small cells of agitated war vets from the Hades/Sage Wars are still angry and want revenge on the opposing country. Being tired and beaten down after many years of helping the Red Star/Sage Company and fighting on the boarders of their land, the cells want to spy on each other in hope to gain data about future clashes and training programs being done by the opposing country. The Vets have dispatched cells of spies to the region without informing their respective governments. They have a single mission – Get to Folsom Ridge and send more data to their superiors than the opposing team.
Objectives (For Both teams):
There are simple objectives in play for Battle for Folsom Ridge II:
1. Each team will start in their respective FOB’s.
2. There will be 3 small ‘data centers’ set up in the AO (not marked on the map – you must find them). Each data center will have a number of props (Computer, Camera, timer, flag pole, flag). These props are not to be moved.
3. There will be additional props in the field for additional points to the team that finds them and brings them to their FOB. They will be marked.
To win the Game:
Teams will be fighting over control of the Data Centers. Teams are Blue (Ironia) and Green(Trukistan). Each DC (Data Center) will have a 1 Timer and 2 bandanas - one green, one blue. In order to capture it, your team will need to start the timer for your respective side and place your color bandana on the flag pole. Directions on how to work the timer will be provided at the DC. If captured you may defend it, or move on. The other team may capture it back by stopping the timer, starting it for their side and replacing the colored bandana on the flag pole.
DC Rules:
No tampering with or resetting the timer, all you have to do is hit start/stop and change the flag.
No hiding/breaking/making it difficult for the other team to control the DC – DC must be obtainable for both teams at all times.
No Spawning at the DC’s – only the FOB’s
This game will require you to use your brain, work together as a team, work under pressure all while having fun.
Game in a nutshell:
You will be fighting over 3 DC’s – Capture them and hold them to win the game.
Structure:
Each team will have a Commander. Teams will be divided up into squads (per registration).
LOGISTICS:
Points: Game is based on objectives. The team with the most time on the timers after ENDEX wins the game (minus any deductions and/or additional objectives)
Deductions: Teams will be docked points if they are not safe (eye pro removal in AO, not minding MED’s etc). If a team has un-sportsmen like conduct (tampering with the DC’s etc), team will be docked points.
Admin: I have the right to change the game as needed for ebb and flow. I will contact each commander and discuss options. This is to ensure players are having fun and are safe.
SPECIFIC MEDIC RULES:
Medics: EVERY player will be asked to bring their own 2 ace bandages (or strips of cloth). There will be one medic for every 8-10 players (or depending on amount of players). To medic a dead person, wrap bandage around arm. Downed players may NOT SPEAK. the ONLY thing they are allowed to say is “medic”.
HITS:
If a player is hit, they must sit with deadrag in place (or move to a safe spot NEARBY if in the line of fire) for 5 minutes. This is the bleed-out time. If a medic cannot bandage player within the 5 minutes player must return to FOB and wait another 5 minutes. Once completed player may head back into AO and will put their bandage back in their bag to be used again. If player is still in bleed-out time, opposing players may "search" the bleedout victim. To do this, simply put your hand on the bleedout victim and say "I am searching you". The bleed out victim must give up any and all parts/objectives, THIS INCLUDES SIDE MISSION OBJECTIVES. If the bleed out victim is carrying out a side mission and is "searched" he must give up the side mission documents. Side mission is then no longer accessible to the dead player. Captured side mission intel can be played out by opposing team for additional points.
SQUADS/COMMAND: It is up to the players to create and manage squads. Command and following orders will be highly recommended but not enforced. To ensure team success it is recommended to follow command and use to teamwork.
COMMS (Radio Channels):
Admin 1
Truk’s (Green) 2-10
Irons (Blue) 11-22
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Players:
This is NOT a pick-up game. This is a full day skirmish. You will be asked to trek up and down the AO all day (10:30am to 4pm). It is highly advised that you bring as much water and nutritional items as you can INTO the field with you. There will be no lunch break. There will be no water breaks. If you need to head back to your car that is fine, but please make sure you hydrate and take care of yourself.
The AO will be marked with tape for boundaries (flagging). It is advised that you travel with a battle buddy at all times to ensure safety.
Please review the ruleset as set forth in these forums.
If and when a team wins and there is still time to play (if players are willing) I will host some small pick-up style games if wanted.
If you have any questions you need to ask now so I'm not swamped with questions during the briefing. Please be on time and have your shit ready to go by 10am.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Please be aware, we are playing on private property. The land owner is gracious for letting me use it for the AO. Please respect the land (no littering etc). You will be asked to sign a release at time of checkin as well. You are responsible for your own safety. NO SMOKING
